The latest technology has given us the tools to make your care
more comfortable, efficient and beneficial. You should be
aware of the enormous value that new technologies have brought
and will bring to cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
Today’s technology means restorations last longer and look
more natural; most are almost indistinguishable from natural teeth.
Yellow, worn or missing teeth or a gummy smile can be a distant
memory. As fluoride has greatly reduced decay in younger children,
cosmetic dentistry can eliminate any adult’s less than confident
smile.
The intraoral camera, laserfast whitening,
the latest smile restoration materials, latest sterilization
equipment for your safety, life-like Master Diagnosis Models
(to preview your new smile), TMJ splints for headaches (for
patients who clench, grind or have TMJ problems), digital x-rays
and before and after digital imaging are advances in technology
making dentistry exciting and more informative. We also offer new
treatment for “cold
sores” and anti snoring
device. Please feel free to ask for more information.
While the beauty of each smile is very important
to us, and to many of our patients, we know that our dentistry

it lasts. That’s
why we have a comprehensive health focus. If you want the best
of both worlds (esthetics and health), we have the expertise
to provide it.
Our services cover comprehensive preventive, cosmetic
and restorative care– care that combines artistry with the
latest dental technologies for a healthier and more confident smile.

| Intraoral
Camera -Your care comes into view |
Dr. Below uses an intraoral camera to help you make decisions
on your care. We give you options, show you the possibilities and
inform you visually, in written form and through our conversations.
The intraoral camera is a new way to help you understand how your
teeth and smile are holding up. It even helps us diagnose the condition
of your smile in ways that weren't possible before.
The intraoral camera, about the size of a pen,
lets you see on a television screen exactly how your smile looks,
and the condition of your teeth. In the past, understanding your
dental health was mostly left to your imagination; dentists could
only tell you how healthy your teeth were or, at best, show you
by using an x-ray. Now, Dr. Below has changed
all that through the use of his new intraoral camera.
The intraoral camera employs the latest video technology
and allows Dr. Below to show you your teeth as he
is examining them. By viewing the television screen, right from
the dental chair, you see what the camera sees. This gives you
a look into your care that was impossible before. Now, you can
not only see what your teeth look like in fine detail, but the
doctor can explain your dental situation to you as you see it,
helping you better understand how current and future dental care
will affect the overall health of your smile.
We now offer Zoom! Laser bleaching as seen
on ABC’s “Extreme
Makeover” for that “WOW” smile. Many times discolored
teeth are the only concern keeping you from having a more confident
smile. The new laserfast tooth whitening method Dr. Below uses
whitens teeth more permanently, with better looking results, in
just about an hour.
This laserlike method is actually a high
intensity light. It’s
as fast as a laser, but gentle on your teeth because it doesn’t
produce extreme heat. It can erase years of deep stains and in
many cases even tetracycline stains. Using a pen-size light, Dr.
Below simply shines it for one minute on a light-activated gel
placed on each tooth. Depending on the current color of your teeth,
this is done 3 to 4 times per tooth. Combine at-home whitening,
which removes surface stains, with this laserfast method and you’ve
whitened your teeth from the outside in and the inside out, creating
amazing results.
What patients say about our new whitening
procedure: "I’m
not covering my mouth anymore. I look better and have more confidence.
And, it was so easy!" Dr. Below wants patients
to have healthy teeth and a healthy looking smile.
Is your dentist protecting you? This concern
has been a topic in the news and on popular talk shows. Autoclaving
sterilization is the preferred method by the American Dental Association
for keeping instruments free of germs. We use autoclaving. This method
is the heat sterilization of dental instruments. Any other materials
we use are used once and then thrown away. We provide a safe and
professional environment so you leave worry free. Also, all water
is purified before it is used in the office.
The Master Diagnostic Model, an exquisite laboratory crafted,
revolutionary 3-dimensional model, shows you your new smile in
natural color and translucency. You also see how your new smile
will improve any bite problems you may have. Great cosmetic dentistry
takes into account your entire oral health.
With an MDM you are empowered to preview,
give suggestions, make changes and approve your personal "Smile Plan" before
any procedures are begun. The process of creating this type of
diagnostic model really has moved cosmetic dentistry into the forefront
of high quality dentistry. Not only can you see the excellent quality
of the esthetic changes in your new smile, the MDM also gives you
significant assurances of how well your new smile will feel and
function. Please ask us about an MDM during your consultation.

Restoration Materials |
Ceramic/all-porcelain crowns, porcelain veneers,
bonded inlays/onlays, bonding/contouring porcelain and titanium
implants are all part of the modern renaissance of dentistry. "Conventional dentistry",
metal based, non-esthetic dentistry, solved many of the basic health
issues associated with your dentistry. But it falls short when
you try to improve on the vitality of your smile or solve the micro-dental
issues that metal materials can’t alleviate. The naturally
focused materials that are now available provide many solutions
conventional materials could not. Dr. Below can present you with
the options that could be helpful in your situation during a complimentary
smile consultation. Call or e-mail us when you’re ready to
find out more.
Digital x-ray is a progressive technology
that employs up to 90% less radiation exposure than traditional
dental film. Generated on a computer, digital x-rays provide
enhanced images for better diagnosis and earlier treatment. We
can zoom in on a single tooth so we can explain your treatment
procedure. No more waiting for x-ray film to develop or repeating
the x-ray because it didn’t
come out clearly. With the digital x-ray system, an on-screen picture
will look like an x-ray image, but 400 percent larger.
| Before
& After Digital Imaging |
Before and after digital imaging will show you what you could
look like with appearance enhancing esthetic procedures. First,
a picture of your existing smile is taken and then shown on a computer
monitor. Then the picture can be altered using the computer to
re-shape the teeth, fill in a chip, whiten or change the look of
your smile in just about any way you desire.
